Shot in November with the D70. I kind of like the way the light seems to be "shapped" due to the other trees it had shined through. It only looked like this for about 5 min.

The light's the ticket when it comes to fall pics, in my humble opinion, and it took me a number of seasons to really understand the concept of the early morning and the later afternoon shadows and light...I can believe it that it looked this way for only a few minutes, as sometimes I've seen a shot and then from the time I spotted it until I got set up it was gone :( Nice job here :)PJ

It really is amazing when the sun shines through and with it a burst of color. Fine capture here. You're absolutely right about how quick this special light disappears!
