The Sundial Bridge, completed in 2004, is located in my hometown of Redding California. Strangely, I always thought this town a bit simple, so this bridge was a pleasant surprise. To see complete photos of the bridge you can do a google image search. I have seen dozens of photos of this bridge, but wanted to take one that shows off a different side. This is taken directly underneath the supporting spire. It reminds me of a harp. World renowned Spanish architect and engineer Santiago Calatrava conceived the Sundial Bridge's unusual design, his first free-standing bridge in the United States. Calatrava has built bridges, airports, rail terminals, stadiums, and other structures around the world. This bridge is gorgeous at night as the translucent walk panels are lit from below!

Annie and I invite you to visit our website. Photography is not a trade - it is an art. It is more that an art. It is a solar phenomenon, where the artist collaborates with the sun. deLamartine 1855

I think the lines and colours are amazing. But for some reason I just can't 'comprehend' it is a bridge. Could you explain a bi tmore?

I am still extremely busy with projects but hopefully things should slow down by the end of the summer. Please know that I appreciate you all and will stop by and visit your images as often as I can. My best to all my friends. Sincerely, Carrie
