As it's a new year, and as a comparative newby, I thought it time I 'introduced' myself. But so you wouldn't have to look at just my ugly mug I included a nodding acquaintance of mine. This was taken in a dark night of last February while I was helping to net and ring [band] owls on a farm near me. I felt extremely privileged to be able to hold and pose with this genuinely wild Barn Owl.
