Another from my Kefalonia archive. This is the exquisite Black-veined White [Aporia crataegi]. A montane species in the Med, I only saw this above 2500 feet [830m]!
I think this is so high, I doubt I will ever see one. smile. It is a beauty and like always I am so impressed by your macro skills. Thanks for sharing.
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

This is one of the closest, most detailed Butterfly shots ever. In fact, I was so impressed, I just started a NEW slide show folder simply titled "Butterflies" so I could save this in it! You can even see every hair on it and the eye as well!
HOW,HOW, HOW did you get it ???

Great macro of this beauty. One of the "Best" butterfly captures at Caedes ... and that's saying a lot with all the marvelous butterfly images on the site. Exquisite Indeed!!
