I found this butterfly at the butterfly pavilion at the Desert Botanical Garden. Her/his name is Julia or Dryas iulia, I hope you enjoy it.

Is anybody out there?
They will probably change the name to Meryl after the Julia Childs movie is released Laura. It looks good in orange. It must not want to be shot during the hunting season. Good capture.

Now, that is bright! I don't think I've seen a butterfly quite so bright before. the actual image of the butterfly itself is fine but I think the image as a whole would have looked better if the background had been more out of focus.
