This is the side view of Otto Kahn's Castle that was built on the North Shore of Long Island in 1917, It's the second largest private home in America. It is now a Luxury hotel and this is were our cousin got married.
A wonderful choice of B/W for this. Seems to enhance the details. I like the lines created by the castle and grounds. You find such diverse wonderful subjects. I am wondering about the rest of the sculpture.
I think that sculpted figure is fine tuning the focus and is about to take the shot. I suppose he had to climb right into the fountain to get the distance he needed. Joking aside, I do like the bw presentation because I think some of the detail around the windows might be lost otherwise. Fun roofline on this one, which the bw also showcases very well.
Looks good in B/W Laura. I really like the texture of the shot. Your Long Island has such history. I enjoy your sharing it with us. Have a good Sunday.
Such a grand side view of this historical building, Laura! It looks as though you may have been standing in the fountain to take this...lol Great composition and use of b&w!
