The black and white looked very good, but the color adds a depth that was missng. It shows the true beauty of the rocks and trees, as well as the sun on the sparkling water. I much prefer this image.

I agree that the color image is as nice as the black and white one you posted. Thanks for taking the suggestion and sharing this one, too.

WOW! Oh my goodness!! This is fantastic! Very good, it looks even better at full screen. This is very good. ..I love the colors, and the shadow. The angle is perfect.
You caught the waterfalls very nicely, too. Very nice clarity, too. This is definately getting a 9*, on my desktop, and in my favorites!

Wow, it must have been really cool to have actually been there in person. Excellent work here.

Wonderful in color also, but the B/W wins hands down in my eyes.

Holy smokes... I think I've been there. Are those the falls you can go down like a waterslide, in West Virginia I think?

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings: And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill. That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes. We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not. Yet so the universe was wrought . Thought is another name for fate. Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.

Beautiful. I prefer the color version to the black and white. Great job! Into favorites and a 10/10 from me! :D

A lot of great photos are taken by mistake, then found. Don't give up on a failure. "Don't give up on ten failures. Time to give up on fifty failures." Smile. The world needs it and so do you. :)

i don't know which one i like better.. :( they are both perfect, i just can't decide!
tremendous details, crystal clarity.. and the little fall looks amazing!
also, i like the silver shine on the rocks, the image looks magical!
i want to follow that light.. it looks so inviting!

i must say, the lightning is fabulous. it makes the image beautiful in bw and coloured version. wonderful.. well, maybe the coloured version looks more natural.. and the bw more artistic.. i know, i prefer this one, i simply love the greenness.. :)
i'll add this one to my favourites.. but they are both fantastic!

thank you for sharing them with us! enjoy your day :)

Stunning. I can almost feel the texture of the rocks on the right as they glisten.

Looked at the Black and White vers, and I decided this one is the better of the two, even though the colours of the colour pic are not vibrant. Of course its a question of taste though.

i havent seen the B&W yet, but this shot is awesome. this does look like watkins glen. ive been there like 5 times, and this looks like it. you must have climber alot of out of the way, cause u cant see the path that runs along side the water. great shot!
