Hagia Sophia Church is one of the most extraordinary buildings in the history of architecture and from the Golden Age of Byzantium. It played such an important role in Byzantine Empire as well as in Ottoman Empire as a mosque.
Beautiful building – one of my favourites –and the deep clouds really contrast well with the bright foreground. If I’d suggest any possible changes it would be to use a slight perspective fix to straighten up the verticals and tighten up the crop to feature the building more and lessen the flower bed in the foreground that detracts from the composition a little. A fine shot all the same.
For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, His eternal power and Godhead;... Rom 1:20
Lu 17:24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

That's a beautiful shot, the light and sky are very good. I've been to the Hagia Sofia and was blown away by it. Isn't it 1,000 years old or something - one of the oldest churches in the world? I have to agree with Phil, I'm not massively keen on so much flowerbed in the foreground; but it's well composed, the colours are good and it's a fine view of a great building.
Wow that is a great shot. I many things can be seen in the photo. The different types of plants, all the colors, and the clouds seem to add to the church.
Wonderful shot! I happen to like the flower bed in the foreground. That gives a good representation of the lovely plantings around this marvelous ancient structure and the curvature of the line leads us forward to the wonderful cathedral/mosque/museum that awaits us. The sky is so wonderfully dramatic. I do hope you may have some interior shots too. Into my favorites with this one.
As far as architectural beauty, this is gorgeous!!! And the photo has every possible element in it to enhance the beauty. The drama of the sky and the flowers all around, the whole thing is just a fantastic photo. Congrats on this one. I gave it a big ol' TEN in the VP...and it sure deserved it. Verena
Some how I missed this beautiful capture when you first posted it, Antonio. I am very happy not to have that misfortune last any longer. It has been one of my favorites since the time I was stationed in Turkey, many years ago.
