Douro river. Oporto on the right side and Gaia on the left. You can see the "Rabelo" boats responsible for the transport of Oporto wine along the river in old times
A truely beautiful scene here. Plenty of foreground intrest with the clear boats and the rocks panning into a river scene with the bridge and cityscapes behind. You even got detail in the sky night too! A great capture and good info on the shot too. Excellent work!
We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"
What a Wow shot, wonderful reflections and light and the use of monotone is inspired. I've never heard of these boats so I learnt something too. I can see the name of the 'Distinto', I wonder if that's the boat or the port.
For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, His eternal power and Godhead;... Rom 1:20
I just gave your image the highest marks in the voting boot. A very well taken shot.
Lots of things happening, but nothing is to much or to little. The boats in the foreground, the lights on the bridge on the right, what a lovely shot.
