I took this picture in Vermont in July of 2008. This lake is shared by Vermont and Canada and can be found in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.

Clear picture, and the mountains in the back give it a majestic feel.
Some critique, though:
1) The horizon is not straight, which breaks the mood.
2) The colors are somehow grayish, maybe a different setting, or by measuring the white balance first before taking the shot?
Other than those, this has the makings of a very good wall decorator. =)

Nice pic. The tranquil water has a nice effect to it as it shows the reflecting blue sky and clouds. The UV shaded mountains in the distance contrast the closer islands or inlets. It does however tilt horizontally to the left. Overall a quality pic.
