And thanks for distracting me from work! I could sit and just stare at this and fantasize that it was MY DREAM HOUSE. It isn't perfectly sharp but I like that - it adds to the dreaminess I feel looking at it and I love the open landscape.

Nice use of foreground and rule of thirds .. a rarity, these days, it seems
While it does appear to be bright morning light, the exposure values are a little over exposed .. and focus seems to be the far bank and not anything that would be considered 'the subject'
If the camera was Auto-Focus, then that's pretty much where it was aimed .. and you needed to have a higher F-Stop in order to increase depth-of-field
.. is it a FILM scan .. or straight digital?
when I would arrive on a scene .. I would meter the grass, for example, and get an idea of the exposure value for that alone .. then .. the sky, a typical scene, etc .. so that I would have these values in mind for comparison when composing a scene in the viewfinder .. this was with a film camera, where I couldn't see a mini result immediately
other than those issues it is a very nicely composed shot ... (I used to live in colorado)
This is a very good first post, amazing colors and great reflections, look forward to seeing more of your work. And welcome to Caeades my fellow Missourian.
Composition is very nice. The colors seem a little flat though. You can really make this one pop by making adjustments in your software. I played with the levels, contrast, hue and saturation and it really made the photo three dimensional.
