I love the textures and cuts of the logs you have captured here. And you were so kind to credit your inspiration. :o)
For me, this makes an interesting desktop to view. There is some natural symmetry present and great visual interest in the 'lines' that evolve before your eyes. Good detail and clarity.
Nice work and yes, a very good 'mind's eye' to have seen this first, before committing to an image.
