This site was visited by Lewis and Clark. It was later the site of Ft. Lincoln, home to George Armstrong Custer. It was also home to the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara. As you can also see, it's where the East meets the West in the USA.

EDIT: THIS WAS TAKEN BY PAT

Nice shot. Lewis and Clark did a lot of exploration in Washington and we have many things named after them....Lewis & Clark Burgers...Lewis & Clark Car Wash....just kidding...but a lot of things are named after them...Lewis River...Clark County etc.... for real!

Curious where this was taken? Lewis & Clark very famous around here also..several places, lakes, etc. named after them around here in SD. Nice shot of this landscape. Looks like good farm land.

very nice angle you have taken this from Pat. especially the flowers at the bottom of the photograph. It looks like you have been having some very hote weather with the grass scorched by the sun in the distance. Patti

What a beautiful country scene. It has a little of everything. I love the colors and the clarity and it's very well composed. Thanks for the interesting commentary. It's nice to know the stories behind the pictures.

This looks like home to me! =) Very clear shot, lovely composition. The depth is great because you included the plants in the foreground.

Thanks for the wonderful comment on Monkey and the add into your favorites!! I'm honored.
