It was a balmy 60 degrees Fahrenheit (16 degrees C) today and I couldn't believe it as I traipsed around the yard getting used to the new equipment...shooting everything I saw. I probably should have time stamped this one, as I'm sure it won't be around in May when they're supposed to pop open.

Even I enjoy the warmth and no snow, I know it is of bad reason. But looking at your picture makes me even smile. Its a wonderful spring-peace, so it will live long here in the galeries.

Oh my! I was just fretting over the confusion this weather must be creating for the birds and the flowers. Not to mention all the other critters of NE. I love to see the blooms, but not before the snow and freezing ground temps. I think some of the bulbs need that extreme cold. I do recall there was a NE summer that never came back in the early 20th century. I wonder if this will be the year winter never came? This is however a very fine macro shot, PJ. Are the crocuses up yet?

Hello P.j. we are having the same kind of weather in Europe. Here in North Germany we have had until now only once a light snowfall for a couple of hours. The temp.s stay around 8-9 deg.(C). There is no more doubt that global warming is on in full force. Your photo is well taken and you should put the date on it. - Raj

Great macro PJ. I also have my Lilac like this but it was just before Christmas. We also have pic some summer mushrooms here in the middle of December so the Global warming is a fact :( I say the same as Raj....put a date on this.
