I thought these might help to brighten the desktop for a few hours anyway as we all await what other foul weather we'll have before the sun returns to greet us once more.

I have to echo Michaels comments above! Beautiful describes this shot to a "T"! Or maybe I should say to a "P" as in "PJ"! LOL I think the snow outside my window just started melting when I pulled this up full size! C):-)
WHAT IS MAN WITHOUT THE BEASTS? If all the beasts were gone, man would die from a great loneliness of the spirit. For whatever happens to the beasts, soon happens to man. All things are connected. ~Chief Seattle VISIT MY GALLERY

I'm waiting for spring too, and these pretty alstromeria really bring the light and warmth back on a gloomy day. This is an excellent macro photo with great dof and clear natural color. Good job!
I will have to wait a couple of months for better weather!..so, these will be a welcome 'warmth' for me...thank you!
These are really beautiful, nicely presented with a good clarity!
Yes, Pj we all could do with better weather. Two days ago we had in Germany the strongest storm in twenty years! Thanks for sharing the lovely and colourful picture above.
Next week winter will come to Vienna and so I am glad, to see a late pic of spring before that. It is very nice and I love the colors and shadows in this. Great job.
These delicate little flowers, Alstroemeria, always remind me of miniature orchids. They always seem freshly picked, and really cimpliment any flower arrangement. They also are beautiful by themselves as you have superbly demonstrated with this one-of-a-kind capture. It will get my 10...Neil
Do you think Spring hears us calling? You have helped make it our own spring with this lovely shot. The colors in the petals are so nice together. Nice work, PJ.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.
