Since the sun was shining today for the first time in ages, I had to take the rest of my flowers out for a walk and when I did, I noticed that the deer had been at the heated bird bath and that they had left their tracks there..thought it would be a nice background for this flower and the rest is history. When I see bear tracks out there, which should be soon, you won't be seeing them from my lens.

Excellent shot, PJ and a highly original composition. Can't say I've ever seen lillies AND snow in the same scene before.

PS:You take your flowers out for a walk? Ever considered buying a dog?

PJ this is a fantastic shot witch proves to the world that you don't need all the fancy things to get a clear crisp shot. This is fantastic and now i know your secret, i'll have to take my flowers out for a walk.....The onl;y trouble is, green fingered I ain't and the only thing we have in our garden appart from a Jungle, is Weeds and weeds pretending to be flowers.........oh yeh ......snow drops which the dog seems to like .

This picture goes into my favs.

Well I don't have a dog, and the cat died, so I may follow your example and take some flowers for a walk - I would be happy to do so if I could get a shot like this - it is lovely PJ and the warm tropical looking lily such a sharp contrast to the cold snow. The deer tracks add extra interest of course :)

I don't see much of the deer tracks but I see a lovely flower in clear close up. Very good Macro PJ. In spite of the snow and cold the flower still looks cheerful - hope the walk was short!

Wonderful clarity and a great idea, PJ. I took some flowers out in the sun today, but the sun decided to go in! LOL What lens did you use here? I am very impressed with the clarity of this shot.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings: And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill. That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes. We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not. Yet so the universe was wrought . Thought is another name for fate. Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
