I needed some color in my life and this flower presented herself as my answer. Eye couldn't take my eyes off her, even though she had a pesky bit of a twig in her eye and I couldn't remove it for her....but she stuck around, and she still rivets me whenever I need a bit of uplift..perhaps I should warn you that at full upload you might want to readjust your monitors down a bit on the color saturation ...

Lovely colour, sharp focus on the centre - You wanted it for the sake of colour, as you say, otherwise I would have recommended showing the full flower. You must start looking for another one soon, PJ - remember she won't be with you much longer!

If practice makes perfect and nobody is perfect, then why practice?
Sometimes tis best never to remove the twig, only to let it be dear lady. Im sure you love perfection like me, but that 'dainty beautiful flower' is expressing herself, and maybe the pesky twig and her are friends and it was to be just a short visit. You captured a beauty here PJ framing is perfect and I have it on my desktop. This makes the favs.

Very Vibrant colours here, very clear. You have to see it in full size to get the full picture effect and see how clear the shot is. As always, it is truly wonderful.

Beautiful vibrancy in this baby, PJ! I love gerberas! They lend themselves so well to being photographed because they just are so voluptuous and exciting, especially when they are this shade! Wonderful floral!

I am comparing this to another work by you.......O'Keeffe.I like this one better as it is more loose and has spaces to improve perspective/contrast; it also is placed well.the framing is too "think' and dark methinks
