I took her pic back in March, but she kept saying, "No, no, no. It's not my time." I pushed her forward in the midst of the season and told her to take her lumps.
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

lovely lillies PJ - I have some just the same in my garden which were a present from my sister last month and they are in full bloom too! Such a pretty flower to photograph! ..another good one in your flower series.

You have some perfect looking lilies here, PJ. They are so shiney and well groomed. They must have been prepping themselves in that closet all this time. Beautiful plant and capture. I hope these were for your yard. LOL
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

That is SO Cool PJ!! I love how some of the red pollen fell off. I've got one something like that I'll have to show ya from Silver springs....Completely different color though.
Perfect Capture and perfect showcase with that background.
Just taking a look through your galleries, and I am hard pressed to choose ... one ... to comment on, but even in thumbnail the composition of this particular one was and is strong.
Gorgeous specimen too. Vibrant, both in health and colours captured ... looks surreally alive.
Caveats? If I may be so bold ... and I suspect that you had good reason for doing so ... was it not possible to frame and include the full flower in the right hand side?
Not really a detractor to your image here, more curiosity on my part. Might have filled some of the negative space in the left ... just not sure what the overall effect would be if you shifted your camera position. Sharing some thoughts with you here, make no mistake about my words.
Wonderful contrasts in colour, I like that aspect a lot.
Good clarity and detail, yeah ... well done.
And but of course, thank you for sharing this one. :o)
