I have a few of these on file and I realized that I hadn't processed them because I was busy searching for other things to upload!!! So we're going to be going back in time a little, not much in my case, to when there were still truly Buds and Blooms.

A very beautiful close up with rich colors. I love the natural symmetry of the buds surrounding the central bloom, patiently waiting their turn to burst forth and show off each his own beauty.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I like how you captured the open blossom surrounded by the "ladies in waiting" so to speak. Very attractive image. Thanks for sharing it with us ;=)

PJ, I love this post. The colors are wonderful and the clarity too. Definately one of my fav's. It's like the main bloom is reaching out of the picture. Like 3D. Good job. Terry

Beautiful...I like the way you have off-centered the little cluster in the foreground, and the rest of the blossoms make a wonderful backdrop. You have really brought out their pretty colours and delicacy...Jacquie

PJ, although spring almost has gone, this beautiful image is worth to go back a little bit in time. Not only the composition but the colours are perfect too. Regards, Cornelius

With so many songs of praise before me, almost needless to say that the flower looks quite good but I would also add that since the others are out of focus it would have - perhaps :)- looked better if you had blurred them and thus given the main flower a little more prominence.

Strawberries & cream is what the colors remind me of in this! Very pretty shot PJ! It's like the bloom in the background is demanding equal time as well! She says "psst..hey PJ..I'm over here!" lol Nicely done my friend! C):-)

Excellent. You really did well with the exposure capturing both 'in sun' and 'in shadow' subjects. And beaurifully framed with the bloom surrounded by the little round bud balls. :)

As long as you do not bring us back to winter, when there were no blooms, it is fine for me. I like that image and I bet, this looked great for a longer time. One bloom was gone, the next one opened.

I love shots like this that show things ready to bloom and those that are already open. These buds are surrounding that bloom like little guards. Nice shot!
