The marvelous lupines have a festival all their own and live only a short time in the magical space between the end of spring and the beginning of summer...perhaps that is why we here in NE adore them when they bloom profusely, which is most of the time, but mourn them when the conditions are not right...This is an in-between year..I present the wild one and her friends at Shadow Lake, VT.

you did a marvelous job here. they look soooooo tall. the color and focus on the flowers is nice and sharp. the soft background really sets it all off beautifully.

PJ, I "ditto" what jeenie said. They look like flower spike trees. Your photos always are so clear, like really being there. This is the first lupine I've ever seen. Good shot. Terry

Lovely capture, those Lupines sure look colorful in that beautiful green garden, so elegantly looking, a special view in a special place, (~8 8~)
Very clear shot, I like the colors of the flowers next to the lovely blue sky and great green tints all around,

They are truley a wonderful flower which is as you have said only with us for such a short time. You have captured them really at the best time. Those ones look like they have a while before they dissapear from our eyes. Thanks for sharing

Beautiful colors in this shot and I agree that the background in this shot was screaming to be seen. BTW, I was surprised to find the lupines still out at the coast yesterday. I thought they would be gone by now for sure.
