Take Two: Behind these bright flowers lies the Pemigewasset River, a hydro-dam spillway, and a view of part of Franconia Notch. It wasn't the brightest of days, but I'm beginning to find out that clouds can add a lot of interest to an upload.

very bright and cheerful PJ - what are those red flowers at the front? - they are really beautiful and make an excellent foreground for the landscape beyond! ...like the 3D framing too - very cool!

Lovely, PJ! This is a wonderful composition and a great desktop. Also brings back memories... on the east branch of the Pemi there was a place (you had to hike to it) where the rushing water had carved a natural slide into the granite and a sort of narrow channel that you could get hooshed down and then shot out into a deep icy pool. Provided you were young and not faint of heart... We loved it!
