These are the last of the steps before we reach the top and stroll along the "lip" of the Flume. It looks like it was a very hard climb, but it's cool and refreshing in here and there's so much beauty to drink in that no one is in a hurry and there are plenty of benches and placards with information to read, linger over and generally use as an excuse to rest, so I know everyone is still with me. I see even Mr. Cowardly has stepped up the pace now that we're past the bear cave and are approaching the wolves den! :O)

Nice place to walk.
For years I lived in the Saxon Switzerland (Germany) where you can walk in several places like this.

Now I can really see for one of the first times how you are standing there and taking pictures, otherwise I couldn't recognize the horizon, but it was very amusing!

I am impressed with the amount of light in the images considering that this place looks like it might be dark. Wonderful place this is.

Looking great !! i have visited two of such klamm's (german word) this year.
On of them had 832 steps, (double, since you had to go back to) and not to mention the steep paths between those steps :-) it was tiring, but worth for sure. This one looks a great one to visit as well, and am glad that you did, Great result here !

~ I too am so enjoying this trip, lol...
this shot is so interesting...first I would feel a bit claustrophobic...but then I guess the sound of the water and the atmosphere would carry me on. Really interesting PJ!
