Lets go fishing. Oh I wouldn't hurt him, I'll just hold him above the water on a string and catch the fish in a net when they jump out to get him. :) yeah I know........I'd like to see that too. ROFL

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

PJ, why does everyone call him a little guy. I can tell by the photo he must be atleast 24' long. CNN just warned Tokoyo to prepare to be attached by this monster ;) Even though that may not be true, a great capture is - well done PJ.

He does look like a monster and if John is correct and he is 24" long, then I am out of here .....just staying long enough to say "Great Shot PJ!" - he's one ugly dude!! lol!

I am impressed how symmetrical his whole body is. From the shape of the body - like that of an airplane - to those massive legs which give him that lift off. No wonder man tries to copy and learn from other forms of life on earth. Great capture, PJ.
ha ha John could be right, he does look huge. Its a great capture, so much detail, I love the pattern in the wood. I tried to catch one on film the other day, but it was having none of it :)
~ As for as the photo goes...great shot and he really looks good on that deck! But I hate the buggers and would get the bug spray before he gets my flowers, lol.
:)
Although I hate insects I must agree that this photo is one great macro - you can even see the sun shining in its eyes. I like the texture too - makes this picture solid and sharp. What's more, the texture is a good outline for the insect, it doesn't disturb your focus while looking at this photo and makes this image a good choice for a wallpaper :)
Don't think I could have got that close PJ I'd have been too worried about him jumping in my face. This is nicely put together, I like where he is in the frame and the angles he makes with the grain of the wood.

Life's around said Phil the 35 millimetre cameraman. I recently went to the doctors, and said I've got icon fever, but he told me there was no cure for the disease.
