Great post. You're leading us into fall with a humdinger. I think your state is somewhat ahead of ours. It will be interesting to watch the fall shots come in from the different states and countries. The tree reminds me of someone feeling the cold and starts putting on an orange sweater.

~ Well at least once a week someone here has me sitting with mouth open in awe...and your's is it with this one! WOW...awesome PJ! Thanks for sharing!
:)

Yes, the blue sky is a perfect backdrop for this big old orange and green leaved tree standing there all by itself. The tree line in the back is interesting as well. Excellent take.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Hi PJ,
Amazing shot, Love it a lot,
I love the colors, the orange/red, the green, the blue, very beautiful, (~8
I love how you have captured the tree as a whole without any other ones around,
Make sure to get some other images in October, November, December,
Beautifully done,
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

It's absolutly awe-some! The autmun colored leaves, the blue sky, the clouds, the whole tree... All the colors are perfect.
You can notice the orange (leaves) part framed between the blue (sky) and the green (leaves): It underlines the autumn subject big time (the end of summer).
It's like a giant broom in flame with some smoke on top.
Do the leaves peak in mid-October in your area? It seems like the trees around here are getting ready for Fall. Lovely image. Take another shot when it's at its peak. Thanks for the early view.

Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

This is a beautiful photo! The colors are so vibrant. Fall is my favorite season (even though we don't get much of one in Houston). I really like this picture. Into my fav's it goes.
Beeeautiful!!! Lovely capture PJ! I wish it was in a size I could use for my desktop. I'm gonna try anyway and see how it turns out. Definitely a real keeper friend! :) :)
If this tree is near your home, may I suggest a series of photos, with "Get Set" and "Fall" and an early Winter shot, all shot from the exact same spot? Then, next year, Spring and Summer shots to start the series!
Such an awesome photo. Scenes like this are well missed since moving to Florida. You have captured the season change at just the right moment. Great job and thanks for sharing with us.
Well PJ, I really appreciate this photo as it seems all of our trees are just turning brown and dropping their leaves here in VA. Not enough rain this summer. Too bad the UK couldn't have shared a little with us this year! I never thought I would miss a good long rainy day! ~Mary~
In the french Alp fall is not here yet. Some leaf begin to fall but they are still green, but cold is coming today. Anyway this picture is very awesome, because green and brown. Great image PJ
WOW This is so wonderful! I love the way that the tree is almos two tone, and that orange is so vivid. This is going right into my faves and onto my desk top. Stunning PJ!
I have never seen a change of seisons in one image so clear as this. What a wonderfull shot... summer meets fall. The blue sky behind it makes the the tree even stand out more. Well done, what a winner.
Well, I know one thing, there won't be a single person who will be able to top this photo as far as a tree in autumn and the colours. So me thinx no one need even post anymore Autumn shots...plus I think all the people you know must have commented on this shot too...now you can sit back and relax and ya don't have to "worry" about taking another Fall shot..V
what a gorgeous vision, phasmid, the tree is, in its singularity, a piece of art, that you turned beautier(??)my english(??)with your nicely done shot, congrats :))
I live in town so i cant get much shots without having some form of the so-called civilization somewhere in the pic. Beautiful tree! And a great capture of it's color.
