When I saw this..my first thought was to get into some big wellies and stomp on em!!! he he!!..super photo PJ...got to be a lot of Halloween lanterns in there
Lovely contrasts and tones!
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

Better invite "Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater" over for supper. I didn't know what to expect when I saw title. Great shot and I too like all the different stages of the pumpkins and their colors.
OK, that does NOT look like a photo, it looks like an air brushed poster. Fancy work PJ. You persist in demonstrating how to capture the most ordinary subjects with such style and taste that they become extra ordinary. Now stop it, you're making all my flash sunrise and sunset photos look contrived. :)
You are an inspiration. (But that don't mean you can expect any pumpkin photos from me any time soon, the bar has been set too high.)

Hey PJ,
Repetition of a great object, it always works,
And it works wonderfully here, (~8
I love the filling-the-frame theme, looks like there are hundreds and hundreds out there that do not fit in the frame,8~)
Beautifully done,
Wow, no shortage of pumpkins here! Each one of them looks absolutely perfect! Your shot is most colorful and bright! Well taken! I just can't get myself into accepting that it is fall already!
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Fantastic photo. Everything is just right. Spot on, perfect. The title is from the Eagles song written by Joe Walsh on the "Hotel California" album. Great work PJ.
Oh my, no shortage of pumpkin pie here! I too like the fill-the-frame approach to this shot, and the range of colours is great. Overall the shot seems to have a yellowish cast and I'm suspecting this is deliberate. Wonder what it would look like in some of the other colour variations?
The color is as my camera JPEG came out...no cast..no PhotoShop crew, no extra sharpening, but it is not a DNG touch up either..so all you who know what comes and goes into and out of a camera...let it fly. I know I could have done better here, but I loved the lighting and the settings I had imposed....it represents what I saw and what I was feeling at the time. I love this image and it came out exactly as I saw it...Thanks for all the positive comments and honest critiques :) I am trying to work with the light I have at the time I shoot and set my camera to work on the same level as I do...changing shutter speeds and apertures as need be.
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon

like it but a bit sickly 4 me.(the secondary colour combination of orange/green is not my favourite-give me purple/orange any day.)purely a matter of taste you see!simon.
Wow! great idea, great colors, great composition, great everything. You know what's the best, though? That the picture is so cheerful it made me happy on a gloomy day. Thank you!
You have officially initiated our Halloween fun time with this photo...Your image is delivered to us in just....the much desired quality that our cameras alone produce...untouched by human hands....enhancement programming....;o)...Your camera did it's work here and what a great photo it is.....PJ!!
That would be our goal, each and everyone of us...to produce...from our cameras the perfect image...in need of no artificail aid! I like the image very much...the colors..the clarity.. well...it is very nicely done..PJ.....;o) Beautiful...

P.S. Aside from what I have said to date...I love pumpkin pie..;o) Of course the frosting on the cake....whoops....or I mean.... that it must be topped with wihipped cream...:oP
Life's around said Phil the 35 millimetre cameraman. I recently went to the doctors, and said I've got icon fever, but he told me there was no cure for the disease.
Linus and the Great Pumpkin would be pleased with this patch...perfect clarity..looks like you were under a full sun..so very nice job of avoiding gourd glare :) Well done as usual!
I LOVE pumpkins and this shot is right up my alley! Your focus and lighting are on the money. A perfect seasonal desktop, PJ. Thanks for this season and many to come!

See, I havent even known, that they are green first ... Fantastic shot. I like this even more, than what ever will be done with the pumpkins for Halloween.
Several of my photos are available for purchase in larger format at Shutterpoint, and some are also available in high quality framed prints at http://djholmes.imagekind.com/
this is amazing. the colors and the framing, you caught a really nice shot here. and you never really see orange & green together, it's so vibrant here. really fun.
Lovely contrasts and tones!
