Actually, I found out that this plant's popular name is Lampionblume/Chinese Lanterns. They sure looked like little pumpkins to me!

Perfect description both mentally and physically. If the mind can conceive, the eye will notice and the brain will get it done. I would give credit to who said this but I think I just made it up. Mr. Dillon said it better in less words. The green leaves, getting ready to turn, the yellow leaf and the orange ones sure make a nice fall photo. Good job PJ

I have only ever know this as Chinese Lantern.

Such a pretty plant - well done PJ. The colour is perfect, and how well the blooms contrast with the foliage.

Actually, they do look like lil pumpkins. I was like, um, looking at it over and over, telling myself, it's leaves, not it's lil pumpkins.

Definitely does look like my favorite pie ingredient!! This shot makes me kinda hungry...is that weird? Anyway...this is a really nice representation of the change in seasons...you've got the literal change from green to orange/yellow and figurative change from summer to autumn and Halloween and thanksgiving. Very cool!!

My grandmother used to call these Chinese Lanterns. Pic the leaves off and they`re great as dried flowers. This is a great shot of a colourful subject.

Jan is right these are commonly known as Chinese lanterns, They are very unique, but very invasive (know by experience), and very hard to get rid of. Great shot and the color combination is very striking...
