I tried to lighten up the shadow on this rock. I'm not sure how successful an attempt it will be after it goes through the compression phase of uploading, but one more time let's reminisce.
I DO notice a slight difference. I think the original was just fine, but you must be a lot like me. Monkey around with things till you get it just right. Good work on both pictures, PJ.

*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

There is a slight difference visible... I think it looks better, although the first image was by no means 'bad'; in fact it was breathtakingly beautiful, just like this one. The sky's my favorite part.
It's lovely Pat,You say it's snowing now,Ever since i seen Bing Crosby in White Christmas I've wanted to see Vermont in the snow never mind I'll go up the lakes and pretend..Richie.
The change was so subtle it's hard for me to detect. That's probably why my photo's aren't up to this standard. I haven't changed my mind, the first post was great and this post is great. It gives me another chance to sit and reminisce. Thanks for that PJ
You don't make it easy for this senior ... do you ? Just came from "Reminisce" ... been bouncing back and forth till the PC started to get rather HOT! Both images are excellent and I'm not going to go out on a limb and choose one over the other. But it's obvious on my screen the rock shadow came through very much lighter. Pssst ... how did you do that ?

The change might be subtle but I think the subtle change did wonders for it :) As much as I liked the original I like this much better. Very nice work PJ!

~ Compared side by side, you were right, lighting the rocks was an improvement and I'm so glad you left the rest of the shot with those rich colors alone, lol...love it PJ!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

It looks great to me. I like this view very much. I need more road trip to fill my need to photograph scenes like this. Until then I'll just enjoy the treasures that you provide us with and dream of adventures yet to come. Great job.

My dear friends! I hope you forgive me for not commenting and answering that much recently. Thats because of the weather situation here, that takes all my energy. I promise to do better as soon as there will be more sun again. Smile
Pj, I especially like the realistic colors and texture of the water. Also, I love the suns rays on the tree line in the background. The sky is a little too blue, possibility. Still, a beautiful image and a keeper.

This ia a fine shot and I cannot tell that you lightened the rock.Maybe the color balance in the sky could be adjusted however. The light is just great from that cloud cover.
