Wow that's one BIG tree so close to the house. I wouldn't like to be in that house if there was a storm! Great shot as always, PJ. I really like the angle you've taken this from and the perspective it offers.
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

Thanks to all who have commented and to anyone who may comment in the future. This has special significance to me and your reaction is important, as it is on all my uploads, really.
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
Oh my that is one huge tree! I would have guessed it was several hundred years old, but I don't know how fast Locust trees grow. The house is lovely and the green plant in the right foreground gives nice balance to the hanging branches at the left top. Nicely composed shot, PJ.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

I have locust trees in my woods but they are so tiny compared to this grand tree. I would love to have a tree like that in my front yard. A nice & clear shot that is very well composed. Super job PJ.
Gee, I didn't think I was ever going to get to bottom of this list. I think it's all been said. I love trees and this is one magnificient specimen. Great angle and composition. Now help me down PJ
An amazing trunk...for my favourites! I love how you have composed this shot, with only a glimpse into the branching off, a hint of the leaves and that great doorway to that home. Well done.
We had the same kind of tree at my last house. It didn't get that big. I lived in that house 37 yrs. and it grew very fast. It is a Moraine Locust. Great shot by the way PJ.
Great shot PJ. I love the composition. Looks like a nice house behind that big Thornless Honey. My honey had plenty of thorns, that is why I am single. lol. Terry
We got locust trees but they're really spindly compared to such a grand old tree as this one... PJ, your composition is spot on! And what a lovely backdrop the house makes. I bet if the tree could talk it would have a lot of stories to tell about the house and its occupants.
