I found this also at the Little Studio: "...red stucco walls and casts from the Parthenon frieze complete the desired Mediterranean effect." From information gathered at the Saint Gaudens' National Park, Cornish, NH.
Wow! Very ornate interior. I love the carvings and that floor, they go so well with this rich wall. There are even benches to rest and meditate! Beautifuk capture PJ. :)
One of the things I like about your photography PJ is that you are not seduced by the spectacular. You take "what's there" and aim to photograph it with simple quality of composition. You remind me of what's possible without drama. Very cool, keep it up. :)

At first I thought the wall looked Pumpkin Pie Orange but after looking closer I saw it was Cranberry Sauce Red. The floors coloring is much like Stuffing. Carvings remind me the Turkey still has to be finished. Chair seats look somewhat like dinner rolls and I see you have some green for tossed salad. I can only assume Noodles and Mashed Potatoes are playing on radio. Great Thanksgiving post PJ.
I'm having to comment less - Caedes took over my life! I will still be looking at your posts but please bear with me if I don't comment on them all or leave thanks.

*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

Another great shot of this studio. I like the angle you have taken this from, it really shows the length of this hall as well as the great impact of the red wall. Nice work.
That's a lot of wall to painted that red, but it seems to work. I like the floor made from stone sets. I especially like the glimpse you give us through the door. I can see foliage through there but what else??? Great shot.
To me the designer has chosen a perfect contrast between the upper and lower part of the wall. Captured very well PJ (the light inensity is almost the same all over the image). Regards, Cornelius

ya know...this reminds me a lot of a much older post of yours. You had done a series on a resort, if memory serves correctly, and I'd said it would make a great ad for Coca-Cola...
What I like about this image is the angle of approach, the colors, and overall composition. Well done, PJ
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

I do not know, if I like the red part or the structure part of that wall more - and in your shot ... the motive or your angle? Well, what I know is, that I really enjoy your work here.
