PJ, thanks for still a glimpse of sunshine on this dark, rainy and windy day in The Netherlands. Would have thought this was a macro instead of a cropped image. The result is anyhow stunning. Very well done!
Regards, Cornelius
What a great closeup PJ. The details, lighting and shadows are fine. Plus I love those colours! it's beautiful. I'm happy that you felt that I understood your vision about Blue Mood. I'm glad to have been able to share this with a fellow artist. :)
Thanks to all my friends for the wonderful images I get to look at and learn from on Caedes every day. I always have something to say about them, but don't always have the time to record it. Please forgive me if I can't comment on all of your uploads.
Great colours and shadows, PJ. I don't normally see pollen filled stamens like this as my wife cuts them off as a) the pollen stains anything it touches and far more importantly b) the pollen is very dangerous to cats.
the stamens are LOADED! i've heard that the pollen stains everything it touches. good work on this closeup. i like how the texture of the petals shows up so well.
A very dramatic capture, and as always the clarity is right on. It looks like the BEE's have left some pollen behind...they'll be back! The shot is so crisp and the lines are so clear that it doesn't look messy. It's beautiful PJ!

Good grief. Leave for a few minutes and SRO. I didn't even know what a stamen was until I got on this site. I thought the Stamen was the mascot for William Penn University. This is very lovely and I really like the shadows. Good post PJ
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.
