I remember as a kid stringing popcorn as garland for the tree, but I believe these (fruits?) would be much more colorful. They would look beautiful on a green Xmas tree with lights & I can't wait to see it ~ hint, hint. A wonderful capture PJ.
I've just made a large fruit salad for later. One of the main constituents was the seeds from 2 pomegranates. Delia and I always think they look like little jewels amongst the other fruit. A really beautiful still-life PJ. The colours are perfect.
PS. Have you ever tried pomegranate molasses? It is fantastic!!
Me too! I always love it when we get them for Christmas. I usually end up staining what I am wearing, but they taste good. Again, beutiful shot Phaz. Great lighting, form, color... is there anything you didn't get for this one? By the way, where on earth did you get so many pomagranates in one place, a fruit market or something along that line? I know that you can dehidrate them enough to make them into ornaments, but you have to take care to get all the juice out of them or they'll mold. It is usually a pretty long process too.
Like I said before, I love images of fuits and vegetables all piled up. I will dload everyone of them and I have a 1000 right now!! oops! a 1001. Nice 1. Thanks PJ!

I had no idea what they were until someone pointed out they were pomagranates. I thought they looked liked onions. I knew garlic strung keeps vampires away but I wasn't sure about onions. Now I'm not sure about pomagranates. Beautfiul photo though. Will make great desktop PJ.
Christmas decorations are my wife's bussiness, as I dont have any sense for that PJ, so I can't give you an answer. Your image however is beautiful.
Regards, Cornelius
I didn't know what they were either. I know I have never tasted one. Now I am curious....Nice picture for the desktop. The vivid color is very appealing.

Oh you're sooooo good at these shots - and spotting the potential for them. This makes me feel so like Christmas. I hope you do string them up and post the results.
Thanks to all my friends for the wonderful images I get to look at and learn from on Caedes every day. I always have something to say about them, but don't always have the time to record it. Please forgive me if I can't comment on all of your uploads.
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

pomegranates are good for fertility right? my kids love them which is ok until they start flicking the seeds at each other! lol bless em! this is great, lovely colours and i love the shine on the fruits too.
We so not see many pomegranates here - what a super colour and I think hey would make great chrisssy deccies.
I love the flavour of them but the seeds drive me nuts. Just as well I dont get to eat many I am nutty enough.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Allways when I go to your gallery I stall at this shot. Now I have to comment it:
I like the composition. The exposure is exactly right and the sharpness on the first two pomegranates is perfect. And it does not abate too quickly. The light effects give some warmness to the shot. Really very nice!
