This is not the name of the river, but I thought instead that the photo portrayed at least a small portion of the swiftness, if not the rushing sound, of the river as it moved along after a rain.
The little wave crests show the swiftness of the flow. With that brown yellow "island" in the middle this is a very attractive scene and you have captured it beautifully.
All of earth is crammed with heaven And every bush aflame with God But only those who see take off their shoes. - Elizabeth Barrett Browning<p>

WOW PJ! You are like a rainbow, everytime I try to improve my game, you just reach in a box and pull away with a 10. I need a 20mp camera to even try to catch the rainbow. Great capture. Thank you!

You almost get the sound with it too. Looks like the kind of river that would have salmon leaping out of it with bears trying to catch them. It's very beautiful.
Thanks to all my friends for the wonderful images I get to look at and learn from on Caedes every day. I always have something to say about them, but don't always have the time to record it. Please forgive me if I can't comment on all of your uploads.

Hello again,
I love the colors in this picture. That water sure is blue. I like the green and gold in that grassy area in the water. Nice movement, too. Were you on your raft when you took this?
PJ,
Another beauty. I love the patch of yellow grass right in the middle, just draws your eyes right to it. Very nice pic, once again, you've done it again!
Pam :)
I can hear the river when I look at this... and if I were very young and it was summertime I would be trying to figure out how to use the rocks as stepping stones to get out onto that grassy little island...

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

"Imperfection is beauty; madness is genius & it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring. And when it comes down to it, I let them think what they want. If they care enough to bother with what I do, then I'm really better than them."--Marilyn Monroe
I much appreciate all the comments I receive about my images, but please excuse me if I don't always reply. My interest in Caedes is exceeding my time available!
