Saw yesterday on TV that the mid western USA states were suffering from an extremely cold. Hope it stays away from our country. To me, a snow covered landscape is fine, but just for one day, lol.
Thanks for giving us this impression of the cold PJ.

My age is showing. This is one of those shots that make me think B&W and a bottle of selenium toner. The water reminds me of a child fighting to avoid going to sleep. Like the child, the water doesn't seem to know that it is going to lose. You've done it again PJ. A wonderful shot that you can spend hours getting lost in all the thread of beautiful detail.
Brrrrrrr!!..had enough of this yesterday!...frozen to my errrrm kneecaps .. .yeah .. kneecaps!..A nicely taken composition with no warming tones! . .nice work!
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

You know, I'm starting to think winter is my favourite time of year. With all these wonderful snow and ice pictures that are starting to appear and the amazing golden winter sunshine we have had here today. I love the coolness and freshness in this PJ, and the contrast of the snow with the black water. Not a place for Owd Bob to fall into.
Thanks to all my friends for the wonderful images I get to look at and learn from on Caedes every day. I always have something to say about them, but don't always have the time to record it. Please forgive me if I can't comment on all of your uploads.
Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to the Emerald City and OZ A very nice place to be. Trust me on this one, I live there. The Lion **** MY CAEDES GALLERY****Another Site I'm AT - MY DA HOME PAGE
Great photo and I like the angle. I'm glad you didn't topple over and end up in that obviously cold water. Just a great photo. Like the snow and grasses contrast. Running water and cold air make me...... I'll be right back.

It's been above freezing and raining all the time here in the last few days. No ice yet, and what little snow we had is gone. I like this shot and the way you composed it. Very nice.
I don't know how you did it, but somehow you've managed to make an image of snow, ice and icy rushing water look warm! The light on this is exquisite.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

When I was 10 we lived in Scotland and the big pond near our house would freeze in winter and I learnt to ice-skate there. We don't tend to get weather so consistently cold for that to happen now I live in the North-west of England. Great shot and great memories.
I like this one a lot PJ! The lighting is great and the ice and water coexisting is always a cool image. Both are the same temperature, but the water still has more energy, for now....
Thanks for giving us this impression of the cold PJ.
