This little guy is named after the sound he makes and I found him at the Holderness Nature Center in central NH this past summer. He could be sharper, I know, but there were children around him at the time and this has been cropped in quite a bit. I wasn't about to disrupt their enjoyment!! The glove I left to show you just how tiny he really is!!

Wow. We just watched a program yesterday that featured owls; including this little guy they had with them. Like Donna said, it is just so cute. Here is a short snippet on the guy (Click here). I found it fascinating that they don't move their eyes, which is why their heads rotate so much. Excellent 'Lil PJ. I gotta keep this one and send it to my wife as well. :)

He is so kuuuuwt. Hard to think of him as a predator but despite his size he looks the part. Cool shot for all us animal lovers. Thanks PJ.

Thank goodness for nature centers like the one at Holderness. This is something we city dwellers would never see otherwise. It is an excellent reminder of our stewardship responsibilities to our little blue marble. Thanks for sharing. Focus looks dead on, just a little camera motion from being forced into a lower shutter speed. When you do the best with what you have, what else is there? Very well done, PJ
