Actually I'm not sure whether this was a male or female bobcat, but I found it in Holderness at the Conservation area and had to photograph it through thick glass. I think the green in the eyes was a reflection from the foliage around the "cave" where the animal was sitting. They're making a come back, and there was one in my yard last year, but hopefully this is as close as I'll ever see one face to face.

What a beauty! I wouldn't want to get any closer than this either. But you did such a great job photographing through the glass - I'd never have known.

Great shot. I will have to save in Grandson's favorites folder. He really likes animals. This looks more like Lynx than a bobcat but I'm sure the Holderness Conservation area knows more than me. Excellent post and they're making a comeback around here too. The wild turkey population is suffering from these predators. The conservation department turns things loose then denies they did it. We also have cougars. I will tell that story in narrative someday.. Good work PJ.

Bobcat or Lynx doesn't matter, think it's better not to meet this fellow in your 'backyard'. Although captured through glass, the result is very good PJ.
