One of my favorite pastimes as a child...kite flying...although I never got to do it into an ocean breeze as did these lucky youngsters! And, no, I didn't wait to see the inevitable tangle :) Portsmouth, NH.

Those three kites are also destined for the Bermuda Triangle for kites. The colors are so great. You make me high with this beautiful photo. I feel like I am floating. Have a good day and it is ok to be a kid again. They are so cool as you are.

I too loved to fly a kite as a young lad that was just b4 the 2 string stunt kites appeared .. shall we go fly a kite Miss Mary Poppins ? Nice shot which brings fond memories PJ. :o)
what a wonderful shot this is! boy after looking at so many trees, rivers, old ruins and flowers this totally hits the spot. the brilliant blue sky is divine. so are the kites. what i really like best might be the kite strings!

COME ON YOU GREENS, UP THE ARGYLE.....
This is truly lovely. The deep blue sky really makes those kites stand out so well. It also brings back nice memories of flying kites with my children when they were young, and even further back still trying to make a kite out of brown paper string and canes!! Thanks for bringing back nice memories and for an outstanding capture. Fav'd and thank you for sharing!

Beautiful image against a wonderful sky. I remember making a kite in Woodwork at school, taking it out on the first breezy day and it flying high into the air and then smashing into the ground and breaking apart!! lol
Very nice shot! Hey, man. Go fly a kite. No, really. We need to do the things we loved as a child ever so often. Me, I broke down the other day and bought me a Schwinn Stingray. A kite with a Jolly Roger on it is on my to-do list.
~ Great & colorful shot! I recall going to Long Beach Island NJ every summer as a kid and we'd go to a store and get our summer kite to fly at the beach. Never lasted that long though, lol. Thanks for the memories PJ!
:)
oh what fun!! i used to like flying a kite when i was a kid, not that i was ever brilliant at it, but it was fun! this is lovely and colourful, good shot!
I can't believe how perfect the sky is. A solid consistent blue border to border, no clouds, birds or planes. Wow!
This would be a great poster for a kite advertisement.
Great shot, PJ.
