I did not comment on your last post of this exquisite building. Somehow I just knew you would top that post. I don't normally care for parallax error in structure photos, but you have made it work extremely well here. The polarizor/neautral density filter was certainly working for this shot, the colour is just superb. Beautifully composed and executed work.

Though this is on the left side of the Cathedral, I think you are right about it being the rear entrance. I think this is the entry that was used by the wedding party. That is a wonderful perspective on the cathedral from the garden. I think we all had a stab a photographing it from the garden. You did a wonderful job of this in the light of the setting sun and captured the cathedral tall and stately and quite clearly against that beautiful sky. That little figure in the garden is the same fellow in my garden shot. lol
sorry if i don't comment on each of your pictures. to those of you who comment so often, i can't imagine how you get it done! i for one am always extremely grateful for the kind comments and suggestions that you make.

Love the sky and the sharpness of the entire photo. I tried to visualize the parallax error but couldn't. The entrance is not important because you have made such a masterpiece. Looks like a beautiful cathedral and rear or front would be a great way to enter I imagine. Nice photo Peej.
Great lighting..looks like early morning. Nice detail and great colors. I like how you kept the statute at the bottom right corner (not sure if you meant to)...its a really nice little touch.
One item on my "bucket list" is to visit every National Park in the United States. So far, 2 are in the book. Please check out my website for all my shots from Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.
And here it is in all its glory. I didn't know there was such a thing as a National Cathedral in D.C. so I looked it up. Cathedrals in Europe were mostly built hundreds of years ago and sometimes took hundreds of years to build, so I was intrigued to know when this one was started. It seems it was 1907. What a fantastic achievement! I always thought it wouldn't be possible to do it in the modern age because of the huge cost - no more cheap/slave labour. What a fantastic and hugely impressive structure. I like your presentation of very much PJ, with the cool stone against the deep blue sky. Terrific.

Thank you for this! My absolute favorite spot in Washington DC. I used to walk there from my home every evening after work. This image is clear and contains the sweet balance between the natural beauty of the Bishops Garden and the man made elegance of the Cathedral.
I much appreciate all the comments I receive about my images, but please excuse me if I don't always reply. My interest in Caedes is exceeding my time available!
That is one majestic looking structure honey!...nicely taken!
