This is a very nice shot. It inspires hope and patriotism. The fact that it is returning to service after two years brings tears to my eyes.
I live in Texas about 100 miles from where Columbia went down. The explosion was very foreboding.
This is a ten for sentimentality.
I wish them luck and God's blessing.
Hi Phill, this is an awe-inspiring shot, a very impressive example of what can be accomplished, when we conspire to do that which benefits all of humanity! High marks from me, Sincerely, Marilyn
I was just at Kennedy on Monday and saw Discovery on the launch pad in the distance. This pict along with seeing it recently is great. Awesome shot.
If you haven't been there, I strongly reccomend it.
It appears you have another space fan Phil. 5 year old Garrett is awed by your space images and his knowledge of what is happening is pretty right on too!
He has been busy telling me what looks good, loves the reflections in night shots and the billowing smoke on blast-off is 'way cool'. His second favorite image was the one with the rainbow in the background. See, you really do educate the little ones.
Again, many thanks for all you do bring these images not only me, but to the younger generation as well. What a great story they tell our future generations!!
