The crew members aboard the International Space Station took this picture of Ernesto early afternoon on August 28, 2006. Ernesto had earlier passed between the east side of the Dominican Republic and Grand Turk Island.

Another beautiful piece of reworking from your skilled hands Phil. My son was deployed as part of the government's Urban Search and Rescue Teams that go into disasters. He is a firefighter/paramedic. He spent a month in New Orleans last year. Right now he is waiting (im)patiently with the rest of his team in Atlanta, Georgia to see if they are needed on the East Coast for flooding. Thankfully, this hurricane rather fell apart and became just a rainmaker.
Once again, thank you for all you do to bring us these awesome space images. I like the other Ernesto image as well. ~:)
