NASA pilot Dick Ewers and flight test engineer Leslie Molzahn were hands-off as their F/A-18 flew itself into the drogue on an autonomous airborne refuelling demonstration over the Dryden facility.

Super shot. There seems to be a lot going on here. I don't mean the pic. I mean the action: refueling, hands off, going REALLY fast, etc. And such excellent clarity. Thanks for sharing.

Such an amazing shot, and it blows my mind to know they can actually re-fuel in mid-air......without manual assistance.

(On the other hand, if you didn't explain what was going on, seeing the picture with the pilots with their hands up in the air, and this long gadget poking at them, one would think they were being held up by an alien ship. LOL)
