NASA's Dryden Research Centre is using this Hornet as a flying research platform to evaluate a number of emerging technologies in aircraft control and information systems. The Systems Research Aircraft, a pre-production two-seat version of the twin-engine tactical fighter, has been extensively modified for its research role into new technologies that could lead to lighter and more efficient aircraft designs with higher performance and greater safety. Image repaired with Photoshop CS3 & NoiseNinja.

Very elegant and high-tech = masculine-oriented image LOL
However, myself being a modest female I would give anything for a good artistic image of another aircraft carrier = ship. There are some here but ships are my passion so I never have enough !!!!

Another great work of art! I love how above the plane it is black, and below is blue. Not to mention the white aircraft, good balance of color here. Sue
