It seems archaic now but without Russia’s Soyuz program, the space business would be in tatters now. The ride of the next crew for the ISS is delivered to its launch pad for lift off tomorrow.

Wonderful perspective ... looks like their space mission has already begun. The locomotive's smoke trail just above the space craft caught my eye. Superb editing also with great detail. This must have been taken at sunset as I see a subtle glow near the horizon.

The backlighting makes the shot, IMO. Would've preferred a crop up to ditch (no pun intended) some of the foreground, but then we'd be looking at a legless man.. ;-)

Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round??
What a perspective.. what a stunning shot this has become. Realy everything works together here. The guy standing giving the image hight at the right side, the loc cloud giving the images hight to the left, the sun coming through that same cloud, the soft blue sky, and then the subject itselve of cource, train with rocket is very apealing.
Glad you didn't crop the image as was earlier suggested, now you get a great idea of the vast emptyness of the landscape.

yes - i really havent done much to it at all in post - i was tempted to play around with the colour some more but decided its as it should be for the mood really.
