Nice attempt. Wrens are a nightmare to photograph- they are so fast. I've never taken a photo of one that wasn't blurred. I hope I'm right and this is a wren?!

I know what you mean about 'spur of the moment'! Wildlife never stands still for us!

Hey Mike,
I assume that this image is at the limit of your camera's range and also blown up to max size? These little birds are both fast and tiny, makes getting a good shot of them chancy or requiring patience and preparation. I like the fact that even blurred and pixelated as this image is I can still see the animal's focus and the "story" in the image. I'd have taken this photo for those reasons, in fact I have quite a few "blurred" images that I keep because the story they tell is one I like.
