This is a great composition...interesting to look at and good clarity in both plant and insect...you're right, he does seem to like the attention...I think I detect a smile from him...must be tricky climbing on those thorny spikes...great shot.:Pat.

Excellent shot.. So much clarity! I like it because it really looks alien.. Maybe because I live in Minnesota and the plant looks like a desert variety, or alien because of the severe blank look in the grasshopper's eye... like a snapping turtle has. ~Ouimon~ Brainerd MN

Wow its a good thing this little hopper is made with lots of his own little armour, with all those prickleys around..I've never seen such a close up of one of these guys...and now I have, thanx to your photographers eye...very nice work..very sharp and good colours..thanx so much for this posting.
