The beautiful is in nature, and it is encountered under the most diverse forms of reality. Once it is found it belongs to art, or rather to the artist who discovers it.

So this is what Paradis looks like Michael!! :) Don't mind if I end up there!! I also understand why this is called Reflection Lake......great capture. Love the flowers in the foreground. Gives a nice feeling to this image. Into my fav's & thank you :))
Your best work so far! An unbelieveable shot!
One thing though, is the cameratilted slightly because the shoreline in the mid ground loks off horizontal, tiliting towrds the right. Just wondering....other than that its amazing!
Spot on! The discrete fog, the snow-haired mountain, the foreground flowers, and the reflection in the lake of the trees and the mountain all combine to make this a 10. Wonderful capture, Mike.
WOW... wow wow wow... I love Mt. Rainier, this is an excellent capture and is one of the few things I miss about living in Washington! Absolutely amazing! this is worth well over a 10 and is definately going into my favorites and being linked to all my family in washington so they can admire it as well :) Thank you for sharing this :)
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you are a mile away from them, and you have their shoes.

My most famous image: Speaking Words of Wisdom
Damnit, this is such a fine picture, I'm going to have to hand it one of my rare 10's. The picture is excellent - the backdrop of Rainier with the blue sky and the snowy slopes is great. The foggy conifers in the centre look wonderful and the relection in the lake adds to the atmosphere of the piece. Finally the thistles in the foreground serve to add even more depth into what is already a great composition and they draw the eye irresistibly into the rest of the picture.

Since viewing your album, I keep thinking "oooh, this has got to be the nicest image on caedes...". Repeat for every image. I live in western Washington, and I get out a lot with my camera - and my pics look nothing like yours. Thanks for sharing.

She's a beautiful catch, Mt Rainer is. She has been photographed to death and the usual reaction is getting to be a wide yawn. But you provide us with an entirely fresh approach. Dress Mt Rainer in some surrounding beauty and you get what we see here.
I really like the sunny light on the plants in the foreground.
Fantastic work.

Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.
