While looking through my garden this spring I became fascinated with the velvety beard in the center of each petal of this Iris.

Thats what i thought it was too when i saw it.... that is an unusual flower.. what is it?

I've got a lot of my great grandmothers iris'. It's not my favorite flower to say the least. But by taking this small section you've turned it into something exotic and beautiful. It does appear to belong to the ocean at this view. it's a ten

amazing and beautiful... i doubt you have ever gotten nutmeg in its nut form, but if you have, when you grate the nut, the inside looks very similar to the outsides of that iris! 10/10 yet again!
