This image is taken from the top of Lower Lewis River Falls in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. The golden color is the result of the skies color just before sunset.
I am constantly amazed by your images. This is a beautiful shot. The composition is great. I like that you've captured the water falling over the rocks in addition to the pools of water. This is a superior image in all aspects!
On a side note, do you have any idea what type of rock that is? It looks almost like cooled lava!
There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is a society, where none intrudes,
By the deep Sea, and music in its roar,
I love not man less, but Nature more
--Lord Byron
Very nice. Some parts of the photo are a bit overexposed but in the overall picture it doesn't do much harm. It's tricky when there is such a broad range of lighting in the motif.
There is a land of pure delight,
Beyond the Jordan's flood,
Where saints, apparelled all in white,
Fling back the critic's mud.
And as he legs it through the skies,
His pelt a sable hue,
He sorrows sore to recognize
The missiles that he threw.
-Orrin Goof
