I took this image while in the "Great Smoky Mountains National Park" two years ago. The fall colors were almost at peak and I could see how the area got its name. As the day warmed up the air seemed to hazy quality to it.
Wow... the colours are so vivid... and the autumn colour in with the green is lovely.... and the hazy background really sets it off..... great shot... love it

I think the light is a little different here in the humid eastern US compared to the west. But you used it very well here...I count at least six "layers" of depth in the photo, and the gradually increasing blue in the background "layers" adds to the sense of depth. This seems to make the foreground colors even more intense. Very nice shot!
