This image was taken just south of The Dalles Oregon looking west to Mt. Hood. The time of year is the fall and it was just a little nippy, so the old breath on the front of the lens trick worked really well. I really like the depth this image has to it. It gives a feeling of how big the wide open spaces of the western part of the United States is. ------------- I added this information on 10/05/2004, for those that might be interested. Mt. Hood is located approx. 60 miles (96 Kilometers) from Mt. Saint Helens, which is an active volcano that is emitting ash and steam in a daily fashion right now. Mt. Hood is also a volcano but is dormant for the time being. Mt. Saint Helens is the only active volcano in the Continental US and Canada right now.
