My Christmas Cactus started to bloom yesterday and made me think of this image. The softness is obtained with a black knee-high nylon stocking streched across the front of my lens.

I usually don't look at the pictures of flowers to much,but I will have to say this one really caught my eye.Great job

Beautiful capture of the flower of the Christmas cactus. Does your wife ever run out of black nylon stockings???? hehe....I am going to have to try that trick some day. I love how you have shown us the fleshiness of that flower. Really neat. Thanks Michael :))

Great shot! I have one of these in my kitchen and it has just started to bloom as well. It’s pretty amazing that even though they reside indoors, these things seem to all bloom in sync.

I like this picture but only one thing really bothers me - there seems to be a little too much glow... like a little glow might have done it perfect, I think. I tell you my reasons: I'm farsighted (lol) so when I look at it with my contacts in I feel like I looking at it without any contacts in so... maybe that's the way you wanted it to be... just thought I'd share my thoughts....
